The weather warmed up just enough this weekend to let us know that Spring is hiding somewhere behind a corner in an on-going game of hide and seek.
{She's got to give up eventually and come home for dinner, no?}
The short break from the hats and scarves reminded me of just how much I love spring fashion... the floral prints and cardigans, peasant tops and flared jeans. {Speaking of peasant tops, this light-weight caftan is a special one for me as it was my mom's in the 70s}. Although the Brit and I managed to sneak in a few sunny bike rides, we mostly enjoyed tucking up in our favourite coffee shop with a latte and a paper... me pouring through the Spring style previews, waiting patiently for the real thing. Maybe if we all start dressing a little lighter and brighter {under our endless warm layers of course} she'll come out, come out, wherever she is. Considering it's still January, I think I may be dreaming.

I'm feeling the same way about spring - no more snow & bring on the sun! I love those boots, they're a great color!

I love your vintage top, so pretty...I wish my Mum had kept some of her wardrobe from years ago! I think the cold weather will be around for a while yet, I'm a winter kinda girl anyway so I like layering up! Although when it reaches May & its STILL cold even I get a bit sick of it & long for some sun! Have a lovely week & thanks for your sweet comment :)
You are really so gorgeous.
I'm jealous that your mom saved tops like that, it would be wonderful to go through my mom's closet and get items like that.
I am dreaming of spring but we have so long until I don't have to be buried under 100 layers.
Thanks ladies!
Yes, one of the advantages of having a pack rat for a mother means I get all her old stash.... which is probably how I became obsessed with this whole vintage thing in the first place!
I wish I could say the same about our weather - but we are continually getting dumped on with all this snow. I am absolutely loving your mom's vintage top. I swear, I find some of my favorite pieces in my mother's closet. You look gorgeous!! xx Marisa
Very pretty! I'm (im)patiently waiting for spring also and I tend to think if I dress like it's spring, it will come faster haha...glad I'm not the only one!
That's a pretty look for spring! But unfortunately, it looks like it has decided to be winter again. It was practically Canadian out there today, brrrr....
The top is adorable! So floaty and lovely, I wish the weather up here was good enough to be able to wear such summery pieces like that.
Also, that latte looks delicious!
well, you're just adorable, you are.
