Modern Day Gypsy

I found this amazing vintage alpaca poncho sitting in the window of a local Oxfam.
It's not only the warmest thing that I have ever owned, but it also fits in perfectly with my weekend gypsy attire.. which came in very handy at the old farmer's market. In this getup, I could have easily been selling roasted chestnuts or imported cheeses along with the veteran traders. I think it will even be a wardrobe staple when the Brit and I visit his father in the french countryside next week. Mais oui!

Poncho: vintage alpaca poncho, trifted
Purse: vintage engraved tan leather , garage sale
Shoes: vintage

Remind me to go thrifting with you. Really. Have fun with the Brit in the countryside--- gosh, that sounds like it should be a Jane Austn novel.

This looks just like an outfit my mum owned about 1976 that she wore to the Grand Canyon- if I can find pictures I will have to show you. Sweet bag!

Aw, that poncho is awesome! Unfortunately there's nothing good in my Oxfam, since it's in central London, and if there was it would be stupidly expensive. I also love that bag...
... I can tell I'll have to be visiting your corner of the country... : )

I am dying with jealously over this outfit - poncho specifically! I have a couple cute ones I scored at thrift shops, but this one takes the cake. I love everything about your entire get-up. So cool.
