Etsy Love

I have been feeling less than glamourous these days, as I have been working day & night on a new multimedia proposal. Lets just say I haven't left my PJs in a while and Renegade had to force me outside today for a walk.
So, naturally I was delighted to discover Karen from Treasures by Karen featured our My CoCoon Vintage grey pumps on her Etsy page! This gorgeous collage features some of her favourite Etsy winter finds and I'm so delighted to be part of her tasteful mix.
Be sure to check out her blog and etsy store for everything you need to make your own first-class jewels, including some sparkling Czech glass beads.
What better way to lift me out of my late-night funk than some Etsy love all the way from Long Island, NY.
Cheers Karen!

The Sweets

          Dear Renegade,

Thank you for surprising me with a giant bowl of my favorite ice cream {green tea & dark chocolate}.No better thing to accompany my late night proposal writing session. And you know what... you're right, it does taste better when you mix it together. I'll pretend I didn't see you sneak another bowl because you're the sweetest thing.

Farewell Ride

Life on the road has come to an end for us, but our journey has only just begun! We have packed up our gypsy possessions, sold Alfred {I know, i shed a tear or two} but he now lives in Vegas and he was leaking, so all for the best.
Now we set sail to London!!
I'm really looking forward to stepping back into the mix, seeing old friends, meeting new family members {Daisy!} and showing Ashi my world back home!

Are you ready ready L.O.N.D.O.N.

Roadside Reflection

We've been loving the steady diet of fresh, local fruit and sunshine.
This roadside delight en route to Santa Barbara not only had the nicest treats but the farmer who runs it had some great life advice.

'The world is yours go and get it'

Well, we've taken the wise counsel to heart. It is officially time for this gypsy duo to say our goodbyes to the road {and Alfie sniff} and to find our perfect love cocoon in our new hometown... and what a town it is! London {not Ontario!} I hope you're ready for these rebel rebels, neon body suits and all.

Sister Act

It's my beautiful cousin Sherry's birthday today!

We've been had such a blast staying with her and lovely partner Trey in L.A.
This girl is like a sister to me, mostly due to the fact that we were raised together when we were young, but also because she has been such a source of love for me over the years.
In fact Sherry is my lucky charm. Every time I visit her something great happens in my life. She claims I make it happen myself but it really is the way Sherry sees the world {and me} that rubs off on me. This girl sees the great things in herself and the one she loves and its for that reason we all seem to blossom when we are around her.
Gorgeous from the inside & out.

Happy Birthday sista!

Love Birds

Looks like we weren't the only ones grabbing a quick snack in a sunny spot.
These daring darlings weren't shy when it came to stealing crackers out of my hand.
Its a jungle out there... even at your local highway pit stop.

Holga Holidays

We are chilling hippie styles in Santa Barbara.
All I have to say is Beach Beach Beach!
We've actually been spending quite a bit of time in the neighbouring town of Carpenteria.
This place is full old diners, organic eateries, antique shops and a wicked farmer's markets.
It's also the best place to catch a romantic sunset.
{Plus the locals haven't noticed us sneaking our Baileys into our coffee every morning just yet}
We've been lazy with the photos, so here are a few oldies, but recently developed, goodies from our beloved Holga. We're talking really old; Sunshine Coast, Seattle and Wreck Beach {Dad, I swear it was my first time there}....

Birthday Love

Birthday shout outs to my dearest friend Adnan.
I don't think anyone knows me better than this guy, which makes for the greatest advice.
The good, the bad & the fabulous Ashi, he's seen it all and he's been a loyal friend all along.
We wish we were there to break out the 'Sean Paul' moves with you while playing Renegade Master on repeat.

Happy Birthday!!!

You're My Number 1

Thankfully we didn't follow the advice of some joker in San Fran, who told us that it wasn't worth taking the Number 1 highway as "there is nothing between here and L.A". This beautiful stretch of coastline has been the most memorable part of the trip. With isolated beaches, quaint towns full of vintage valuables and the most spectacular coastline you could wish to drive down, the number 1 is definitely our number 1. Here's a couple snaps that tell the story. Its definitely all about the journey!

Peace out

A Lesson in HP

Dear America,

You'll notice the sauce in my hand is red. A more suitable colour to accompany my steak and eggs would be brown. There is a product you are missing from your lives that would enhance any such meal. Canadians know, America get to know....

HP Sauce the only way to dip your chips

Castro's Castle

Thanks to a chance tip-off, our humble abode whilst in San Fran has been the aforementioned Castro's Castle. This is one "unique" lodging, run by Dennis Peron  , a wicked guy who offers rooms in his fantastic home. Dennis is famous for being one of the cities most prominent activists and advocates for the legalization of marijuana. This 'passion' of his certainly reflects in the decor {did anyone say black-light garden and miniature golden gate bridge}. We were graciously given the master suite, a charming room, beautifully styled with a classic art deco theme. It was the perfect psychedelic cocoon to come home too after a long day biking around this beautiful city. Anyone who wants to visit San Fran needs to experience this awesome place, where there's always a great conversation coming from your left hand side.
