Jackpot at the Penny Arcade

Inspiration strikes on a chilly Toronto afternoon!

We're staying in the fantastic Ossington / Dundas area. That's where we stumbled upon a gem of a vintage shop, Penny Arcade. The shop is run by a lovely girl named Rachel. This is a true passion project for her and I think that's why we felt the stroke of inspiration the second we walked in. The store itself feels like her 'home'. Every detail is personal and thought-out. From the cozy living room hang-out area to the old-school clothing racks featuring wood that she found in the space when she first moved in, every detail is Rachel. Details aside the girl has impeccable taste. This is one of the nicest vintage shops I've been to in a while. The clothing itself is well-thought out, tailored and cared for. She's truly curated every item in the store from the heart. Of course we had tons of questions for her. And she answered them as earnestly as she could. Her advice for us shop owners-to-be was gold.
